Promoting Development of Rural and Social economy workshop(04/09/2009)

PHANO (Vietnam association of rural development science) held “Promoting Development of Rural and Social Economy workshop” from Aug 25th to 28th, 2009. This is an international workshop supported by Foundation for Human Progress (FPH - Switzerland). There are 13 international representatives from France, Spain, Chili... The workshop has exchanged theoretical and factual experience on domestic and international rural and development. Especially, the workshop emphasized on the role of rural tourism, rural cadres and associative leaders training, diversification of rural development services. The delegates also had chance to visit advanced production models, handicraft villages in Hai Duong, Bac Ninh , Hanoi and discussed on controversial and pressing issues in rural development such as land reclaimation, supporting policies for peasants those lost their land. Representatives Peaseant Welcoming Organization, together with Phano, continues on researching rural tourism model in Lao Cai Province in the next few years.
